EDACA Membership Renewal 2025/26

Members save £s with online discounts of up to 50% on seeds and free membership of the National Allotment Society, as well as bargain gardening essentials in our four EDACA trading sheds.

Annual membership costs just £5 for under 60s and £4 for over 60s and is open to anyone interested in growing fruit, vegetables, salads and herbs

The new membership year runs from 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2026 and benefits include:

  • Access to four EDACA trading sheds selling supplies, seed potatoes, seeds and gardening sundries at competitive prices
  • 50% discount on packet seeds and 15% on most other goods from Dobies.co.uk
  • Affiliate Membership of The National Allotment Society (NAS) worth £25 *:

The quickest way to take advantage of EDACA benefits is to renew online at www.edaca.org.uk/membership/  and pay by online banking (our account details are on the form).

Otherwise please visit one of the EDACA trading sheds to pay by cash or card:

  • Lakeside (Rapide Close, Eastleigh SO50 5RQ) Sundays 09:00 – 12:00
  • Underwood Road (Underwood Road, Bishopstoke SO50 6FX) Saturdays and Sundays 11:00 – 12:30
  • Woodside (Leah Gardens, Eastleigh SO50 9QX) Sundays 10:00 – 12:00

Once you’ve renewed your membership you’ll be able to order seed potatoes by completing an order form and paying your 25p per kg deposit in any EDACA trading shed by 2 November 2025.

The EDACA discount with Dobies earns members a 50 % saving on packet seeds and 15% on all other live products. Postage is £2.99 for seeds, £6.99 for other items only and £7.99 a combination of the two. There are two ways for you to access the Dobies discount:

  • those members who prefer to order and pay online will be emailed a discount code to use at https://www.dobies.co.uk/ after they have renewed their membership – please check your spam folder for a message from edacamembership@hotmail.com
  • those of you who prefer to order from a catalogue may collect one and an order from EDACA trading sheds from the start of October. Please make sure you use the enclosed special order form to earn your discount, then simply send this directly to Dobies with your payment

Grab a bargain – sulphate of ammonia and fibre pots

Sulphate of ammonia is a quick acting nitrogen fertiliser that’s used to promote leafy growth and rapid greening in plants. It is especially effective in leafy plants and vegetables such as brassicas, lettuce, spinach, rhubarb, leeks and onions, and provides a rapid boost to flowering plants, shrubs and fruits.

You can use sulphate of ammonia on a compost heap as it is a good source of nitrogen which helps accelerate the composting process by feeding the bacteria involved in decomposition.

In soil it lowers the pH balance of alkaline soils, which helps plants access nutrients.
